The House of Enfield

The House of Enfield
by Kate Jackson, y6

“The House of Enfield project investigates our everyday relationship with food. The project questions how the inhabitants of urban environments make the connection between the food on their plate and where it came from. The project proposes that with diminishing space to build in our existing urban environments, and an ever-increasing demand for affordable housing, it is possible to expand into unused, rural landscapes and transform the land into space that is both economically and socially productive. The House of Enfield is an affordable housing development with an onsite winery, servicing an existing vineyard in Enfield, North London.”
